These terms and conditions apply to the use of the Import Wizards website and complete services provided. By accessing this website and using our services you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below. The service provided by Import Wizards is to aid the customer (buyer of vehicle) throughout the process of selecting and purchasing a vehicle in Japan from auction house or other third party. Furthermore, to aid the importing of said vehicle to the destination seaport selected by customer.

Import Wizards organises the service as agent for the Customer at its own discretion and shall devote its best attention to the organisation of the transport, carriage and storage of the entrusted vehicle(s). Import Wizards shall select the appropriate means and mode of transport, as well as storage locations and shall be liable for its accurate and conscientious organisation only.

 

1 – Contact and Communication.
Contact can be made in various ways to Import Wizards. We strongly recommend you consider the basics of importing a Japanese vehicle before making contact. We do our best to give you as much accurate and trustworthy information as we possibly can. We are not responsible for the misinterpretation of any information given from the outset. It is customer responsibility to raise any concerns or questions you feel unsure about.

 

2- Deposit and Payments.
The estimate/proforma invoice provided by Import Wizards before deposit is sent by a customer to  Import Wizards is an accurate representation of how total payments made will finalise. Factors out of our control such as fluctuating exchange rates, shipping rates, the nature of the cars we export (in cases of low loading inland transport) makes it difficult to give a set price before a purchase is made.
Import Wizards do not guarantee a final set price based on the estimate/proforma invoice provided.

Deposit payments to our account are fully refundable until a vehicle has been won/bought at auction. By law Import Wizards are required to pay for the vehicle within 3 days of winning at auction. If for whatever reason total payment cannot be made by customer for a vehicle after win/purchase we reserve the right to retain deposit.

 

3- Vehicle description.
(Auction house inspections)

Vehicles are fully inspected by qualified inspectors of the auction house based in Japan.
An inspection sheet is written based on the condition of the car by inspector. Import Wizards are responsible for the accurate translation of this inspection sheet to English. Import Wizards are not responsible for any misinterpretation of the inspection sheet translation and details given. Import Wizards are not responsible should a customer feel the car has been graded incorrectly or if the car’s condition does not meet the expectations of the customer. It is the responsibility of the customer to decide if the car is suitable or not based on the inspection sheet and translation regardless of any other communication.

Due to the nature of the cars we export the inspection sheet becomes filled with the most valid points as seen by the inspector. On occasion small defects and other points a customer may feel should have been noted more clearly can go through as unlisted.
Import Wizards are not responsible for this. We have no control over the Japanese written inspection sheet whatsoever.

(Pre-Auction and private inspections)

When a vehicle is pre-inspected before bidding/buying photos and a written description based on facts of condition and appearance are provided. Import Wizards are not responsible for any misinterpretation of information given. It is the responsibility of the customer to decide if the car is suitable or not regardless of any other communication.

 

4 - Inland Transport
Cars are transported by truck from auction house to seaport for shipping after the car is won/bought. Even though sports car spec transporters are sometimes needed, with the nature of the cars we export being low to the ground damage can sometimes occur to bumpers or body parts. Import Wizards are not responsible for damages that may occur on inland transport.

 

5 - Shipping.

Import Wizards arranges the insurance of all vehicles. Vehicles are fully insured for damage and loss on shipping. Import Wizards assists with claims made to insurance on behalf of the customer in any unforeseen circumstances where damage or loss may occur. Import Wizards are subject to terms and conditions of shipping insurance and are not bound by any processing times or responsible for results of claims made.

Shipping schedules are subject to terms and conditions of the shipping company. Import Wizards are not responsible for delays or change of schedules made by the shipping company.

 

 

Import Wizards may, at any time, and at our sole discretion, modify these Terms and Conditions of Use. Any such modification will be effective immediately upon public posting. Your continued use of our Service and this Site following any such modification constitutes your acceptance of these modified Terms.
